Water mill


With its numerous rivers, the Vic-Bilh is a land of water mills, used to grind the local wheat and corn. They’re small but elegant buildings.


Water mill of Bellegarde in LESPIELLE


Renovated water mill, dating the 14th century.

Guided tour (25 min): Henri Cazenave, the miller, presents you the history, the mechanisms and the mecanisms and the functioning of this mill with double grindstone, which makes of the flour of wheat and corn, as well as the bluterie which allows to refine the flour.

A path fitted out along the channel allows to understand the hydrography adjacent to the mill.

Exhibition of old tools.

 

Opening:

From June till September: every Tuesday without appointment from 10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 18:00.

The rest of the week and of the year by appointment.

 

Price: Adult: 3€, child (-12 yrs): 2€, group: 2€, family: 2€.
